Overview

Clear Creek Canyon is unique in the quantity and quality of its rapids. It has more rapids than nearly any other commercially run stretch of whitewater in the nation. It is also free-flowing, meaning that the water levels change throughout the season, offering a variety of experiences. In addition to world-class rafting, it is also the home of the 1859 Gold Rush. Gold is still found in the creek by intrepid miners using pans and dredges. Guests will pass many sites of historical significance related to the Gold Rush while rafting on Clear Creek. Clear Creek is also conveniently located nearby Denver and other surrounding resorts, making it the perfect day-trip excursion.

WE HAD A GREAT TIME! this was our son's second time to do rafting, but our first, and we had a blast! the guides were all very chill, but seemed to know exactly what they were doing. we had a lesson at the shop first, and the guide was very serious. He obviously had a lot of experience. we got all our gear included in the price, instead of paying extra like some other places do, and i would definitely use these guys again. Thanks Sam!

We took the intermediate white water rafting trip with Downstream Adventures and it was fantastic! Booking was fast and efficient. The day before the trip we added 2 more guests and Ryan seamlessly helped to add the guests and ensure a time that worked for the company and us. I valued and appreciated his tenacity with this last minute change. Check in was fast and efficient. Our guide Sam was awesome! A great teacher, guide, and leader. Sam kept us safe while navigating the rapids and we had a ton of fun on the river. Great experience. Highly recommend.

What a great afternoon! Our party of 4 enjoyed the trip! The water was cold but after you get wet the first time, you get used to it and your adrenaline kicks up a notch and you don’t even remember it’s cold! Scooby was the best guide, be sure to get on his boat! Rapids were big enough and fun! All the staff was great and you won’t regret booking this!!! 💦
