Clear Creek Intermediate Whitewater Rafting near Denver

Overview
Clear Creek Canyon is unique in the quantity and quality of its rapids. It has more rapids than nearly any other commercially run stretch of whitewater in the nation. It is also free-flowing, meaning that the water levels change throughout the season, offering a variety of experiences. In addition to world-class rafting, it is also the home of the 1859 Gold Rush. Gold is still found in the creek by intrepid miners using pans and dredges. Guests will pass many sites of historical significance related to the Gold Rush while rafting on Clear Creek. Clear Creek is also conveniently located nearby Denver and other surrounding resorts, making it the perfect day-trip excursion.

Fantastic morning on the water with a really great guide. Scott was awesome and made the experience fun and informative. You've got a lot of "big" options when it comes to guided tours in this area of Colorado; I'm glad I chose a smaller "boutique" company; it was well worth it and definitely made for a great experience. Can't wait to come back.

Our teenagers had been rafting once before, but it was the first time for my husband and I. We did the beginner trip and It was so much fun for all of us! Kurt was our guide and very entertaining. Told us a lot about the history of the area and river as we rafted. The river is fast moving with many rapids, but not scary for first timers. The staff seemed very organized, but laid back, got confirmation and reminders for the trip with good instruction on what to bring/what to expect. They provided all the apparel, did a nice talk about safety and a lesson in paddling before we left. Great experience for all ages and definitely worth the money!
