Overview

Clear Creek Canyon is unique in the quantity and quality of its rapids. It has more rapids than nearly any other commercially run stretch of whitewater in the nation. It is also free-flowing, meaning that the water levels change throughout the season, offering a variety of experiences. In addition to world-class rafting, it is also the home of the 1859 Gold Rush. Gold is still found in the creek by intrepid miners using pans and dredges. Guests will pass many sites of historical significance related to the Gold Rush while rafting on Clear Creek. Clear Creek is also conveniently located nearby Denver and other surrounding resorts, making it the perfect day-trip excursion.

Our trip was nothing short of spectacular. Mark (or, Marky-Mark) our guide, was professional, informative, and hilarious. Although the waters were lower than earlier in the season, Mark made sure the trip was nothing short of exciting. They are a mom & pop shop. Support local businesses!!

This was our first white water rafting trip. My daughter was a bit hesitant and concerned about falling out. Mark did an excellent job of putting her at ease. Before the trip he explained everything with great detail and included humor. He is an excellent guide. He realized my kids were up for adventure, so he "surfed" the raft up the rapids a few times, to add to the adventure. He is personable, fun, and very skilled. We will recommend Downstream Adventures to everyone! Mark is the best!

My family has gone rafting with Downstream at least 3 times and we have never had less than a perfect experience! Great for the whole family. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the trip fun for everyone. We don't plan on going with any other company for rafting in CO.
