Overview

Clear Creek Canyon is unique in the quantity and quality of its rapids. It has more rapids than nearly any other commercially run stretch of whitewater in the nation. It is also free-flowing, meaning that the water levels change throughout the season, offering a variety of experiences. In addition to world-class rafting, it is also the home of the 1859 Gold Rush. Gold is still found in the creek by intrepid miners using pans and dredges. Guests will pass many sites of historical significance related to the Gold Rush while rafting on Clear Creek. Clear Creek is also conveniently located nearby Denver and other surrounding resorts, making it the perfect day-trip excursion.

I booked a half-day online the night before. There are a plethora of rafting companies to choose from in the area, but I'm so glad that I went with Downstream Adventures. Helmet, wetsuit, life vest and bus ride to and from the river is all included. The 3 guides were awesome, and you can tell that they love what they do. I highly recommend Downstream and will never forget this experience!

Marky Mark was awesome! Even though my family was directionally challenged, I went overboard and he stayed calm and pulled me right back into the raft. This is definitely something you don’t want to miss out on! Thank you!

This is something you do not want to miss out on. There are several other rafting companies, but no other compares. Marky Mark is the best. We had a great time and would do it again.
