Overview

Clear Creek Canyon is unique in the quantity and quality of its rapids. It has more rapids than nearly any other commercially run stretch of whitewater in the nation. It is also free-flowing, meaning that the water levels change throughout the season, offering a variety of experiences. In addition to world-class rafting, it is also the home of the 1859 Gold Rush. Gold is still found in the creek by intrepid miners using pans and dredges. Guests will pass many sites of historical significance related to the Gold Rush while rafting on Clear Creek. Clear Creek is also conveniently located nearby Denver and other surrounding resorts, making it the perfect day-trip excursion.

So incredibly fun!! The guides were so cool. I was glad we did the intermediate trip it was fun! We even got to cliff jump and swim. Best decision ever, wish i could everyday.

We thought the snow runoff had subsided some and decided to take the Intermediate rafting tour. While it was considerably lower than earlier in the season, we still had a pretty wild ride over a number of rapids! Two of the three boats on our tour capsized after a tricky rapid, luckily our raft wasn't one of those! We commend our guide Kurt for our safe return. He was fun, knowledgeable and clearly experienced with the river as he knew where every rapid, rock and bend was long before we got to it! We highly recommend Downstream Rafting for your Clear Creek rafting trip, we'd do it again in a heartbeat! THANK YOU!!!
