Overview

Clear Creek Canyon is unique in the quantity and quality of its rapids. It has more rapids than nearly any other commercially run stretch of whitewater in the nation. It is also free-flowing, meaning that the water levels change throughout the season, offering a variety of experiences. In addition to world-class rafting, it is also the home of the 1859 Gold Rush. Gold is still found in the creek by intrepid miners using pans and dredges. Guests will pass many sites of historical significance related to the Gold Rush while rafting on Clear Creek. Clear Creek is also conveniently located nearby Denver and other surrounding resorts, making it the perfect day-trip excursion.

We booked a 9 person party pretty far in advance for my brothers bachelor party and we’re promised 2 separate rafts. I understand a 6 person raft is a standard so I was stoked they would do a 4 and a 5. Upon gearing up Abby told us very directly that “That’s not possible.” Bullsh**tt, it’s definitely possible and was the reason we booked. So now you got a split group on 2 rafts (6 and 3) and the three of us were on overloaded with 7 people on our raftone of which who was annoying and made me uncomfortable. All in all the rapids were good, not anything crazy but I guess just enough for the thrill. 3 stars cause I don’t wanna thrash your rating but come on guys, that’s a pretty lame move. No tip.

Loved our raft with Downstream Adventures. They are a small business but that means you get individualized attention. Knowledgeable guides made us feel safe and most of all had a great time as a family. Would highly recommend!
