What To Expect

Crystal River

This tour is ALL about finding the best manatee spots and utilizing our clear kayaks to give you the best viewing possible without getting wet! Crystal River is known as the “Manatee Capital of the World.” On this tour, we want our guests to experience Manatees in their natural habitat. Crystal River is fed by dozens of natural springs, which makes it is a hotspot during Florida’s “colder” months. Between November and March, hundreds of manatees migrate inland to the springs to seek refuge and stay warm. We can’t control where they might be in the area, but our experienced guides will take you to where they are most active! While manatees are our main focus of this tour, we often see dolphins, fish, turtles, birds, and more! This 2-2.5 hour guided adventure includes a relaxed paddle through Kings Bay to Hunter Springs, Jurassic Springs, and beyond in Crystal River. Check this paddle off your manatee bucket list! Booked this trip and was very pleased with the over all experience. Quentin was our guide and was very knowledgeable. He explained the the conservation of the springs and protection of the ecosystem and manatees. We were lucky to have seen 2 manatees which is very rare for this time of year. Get Up & Go Kayaking is the way to go with their clear kayaks! A lot of people asked us how we liked the kayaks and where we rented them from. We highly recommend Get Up & Go Kayaking at Crystal River. I'll definitely tour with them again!

Quentin was great with our crew! My husband and I brought our 17 year old daughter and her 2 best friends, and we had an awesome experience! Even though we didn’t see any manatee (wrong season), we loved the Three Sisters Spring! Our girls are quite sassy, and Quentin handled them like a pro. He felt more like a friend than a tour guide. We will definitely be back! But we’ll come Nov-March next time! Thanks again!
