Adventure through Shell Key Preserve in your 100% clear kayak! See crystal-clear water, diverse marine life, and the underwater world below your clear kayak.

You’ll paddle along mangroves, enjoy white sand beaches and sandbars, and explore a secluded beach. If the tide is high, your guide will lead the way through a hidden mangrove tunnel. Shell Key Preserve is located in Tierra Verde, FL near St. Pete Beach in the Tampa Bay area.

Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, manatees, pelicans, crabs, and more while enjoying the preserve’s picturesque mangroves, beaches, and sandbars. Be on the lookout for a manatee or the beautiful pink Roseate Spoonbills in the summer months. White Pelicans call the sandbars of Shell Key Preserve their home during the winter months! Throughout the year, dolphins frolic in the crystal-clear waters and cormorants love to swim alongside your kayak. Chances are that you’ll see a variety of wildlife, but sightings are random and not guaranteed.

We did the tour on a Friday afternoon and it was great. Jenna was our tour guide. She was excellent and very knowledgeable. She took her time to explain everything we saw on the way very well. The whole experience from booking to the end of the tour was great. The customer service is top notch. We had a tour booked for Thursday but it got canceled because of high winds. We got early informed and easily rebooked. I got all my questions answered. Overall a super nice experience.

Awesome tour, Chris was the best guide! Went with four friends, some had never kayaked before , and the tour also included smaller kids. Chris was very patient and helpful. He pointed out tons of wildlife along the way and was very knowledgeable about the area. We saw a family of dolphins, and many local birds. We also got to go through the mangrove tunnel, which was amazing! Thanks, Chris, for a perfect morning!

We had a wonderful adventure! Grace was very helpful with tips on kayaking and giving us great information about the mangroves, sea grass beds and wildlife. My twelve year old loved it too! Thank you so much! We will be back!
