What To Expect

Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge

This tour begins and ends at Seven Sisters Campground located on a canal just off the main river. We’ll paddle to Seven Sisters Springs, where the natural underwater limestone creates several small cave tunnels that connect to each other, making it possible to dive from one opening to the next! Then, paddle downstream to Baird Creek, a winding stream that is only accessible by small paddle crafts and is like a scene from Jurassic Park!

We had a great day on the water. Amanda was a fantastic guide. The springs were the highlight, and Amanda took awesome pictures of our group. Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was that we weren’t able to see many manatees. We were right at the beginning of the season. Loved it and would do it again!

Sandy was the best host you could imagine. Knows the river, cares about it, has specific things she wants to show you...but also is perfectly willing to let you set the agenda. I felt so fortunate to have her as my guide, and she did a fantastic job and was extremely flexible.
