Weight Restrictions: Due to FAA regulations, all passengers must be weighed at check-in. For each passenger weighing 240 pounds or more, or combined weights of 420 lbs per couple an additional seat must be purchased at time booking. This is for the safety and comfort of all passengers. It is important to provide accurate body weight at checkout.
It is recommend that all passengers wear dark clothing to help have less reflection in the windows when flying and therefore you can get better photos during your tour
Not wheelchair Accessible. There is no wheelchair lift to accommodate wheelchair passengers nor can the staff personally/physically assist people into the helicopter
Flight routes & sights may vary due to weather
Infants under 24 months must sit on an adult lap. PLEASE CONTACT AIR MAUI IF BRINGING AN INFANT. Over 24 months must occupy their own paid seat. We follow the same FAA regulations as the airlines

Helicopter is a shared cabin holding up to 6 passengers and one pilot.
All passenger weights MUST be advised at time of booking. Under representation of body weight may result in cancellation at check-in with no refund.

What To Expect

Air Maui Helicopter Tours

Make your way to Kahului heliport on Maui at least 30 minutes before your chosen departure time. The heliport is located at 1 Keolani Pl #110, Kahului, HI 96732.

Haleakala Crater

After a short orientation, climb into the helicopter with your private pilot and take off for a scenic, 75-minute flight over southern Maui. Be sure to have your camera ready for views of the beaches, cliffs, and jungles. Marvel at sweeping views of the dormant Haleakala volcano, then touch down at a private cliffside location. This is a great opportunity to celebrate special occasions with a loved one.

Hana

Take off again to fly over the Hana rain forest, as well as some canyons and waterfalls, before returning to the airport.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Dylan our pilot was wonderful. Our original booked day had to be changed due to weather conditions. When we did go it was beautiful. The stop on the cliff was very windy but was still enjoyable. Seeing waterfalls that you could only see from a helicopter was cool. Note: if you are sitting behind the caption (on the right) he will circle around for you to see things but the views are mainly on the left side so you miss some. Still it was worth it.

Our pilot Nick made our first helicopter experience extremely memorable. We enjoyed getting to know Nick and our fellow helicopter mates! Check in was easy and the waiting area has a good selection of gear. Post flight you can purchase digital or physical prints. Due to Maui weather, you can never guarantee your route or if inclement weather will cancel your flight. However, our alternative route was a wonderful experience with cliffs, waterfalls and a rural property landing site. Was worth every cent paid! Thank you Air Maui! We hope to see you again!

First off, The office ladies were so nice, accommodating and friendly. Also somehow they knew it was our honeymoon. Their office was very clean even the bathrooms were spotless. Our pilot, Vince was awesome! He honestly made it fun, super enjoyable and he was very knowledgeable. Cliffside Landing was incredibly beautiful and I would highly recommend this to anyone!
