We went on a Wednesday. Many buildings and experiences were not available due to lack of ???? History is educational and a part of learning and appreciating how far our country has come. We saw limited demonstrations but immensely enjoyed the architecture, innovation as well as the Governor’s palace and grounds we did tour. The simple life yet time for God, country and family.

VERY disappointing. Seems that about ½ of the attractions were closed and the ones that were open were not very informative. It is NOT the old Colonial Williamsburg my wife and I remembered. We wont bother coming back.

We hadn't been here for about 16 years, so we were excited to tour the area again. It was very busy in the visitor center to purchase passes, so that took about 1/2 hour to get through the line and buy the tickets. The woman who helped us was fantastic! They have a great shuttle service around the colonial area which helped us as there is so much walking and it was 95+ degrees that day! We were disappointed that there were not more areas open however. Plus, they were only letting so many people in to each area at a time, so it seemed like we were always waiting out in the hot sun to get in to any of the areas. We also saw very few (I think we saw a total of two people) period actors walking around. Very limited shows as well. I feel like they shouldn't charge the same price if not everything is open and the experience is not up to par to what it should be. The areas we were able to see were fantastic and the information was great. Our favorites were the tours of the Palace and Courthouse as well as the Weaver. The Engraver was great too. We also toured the Art museum, which was huge! Give yourself plenty of time - we did this at the end of the day which was not the right time to walk around and really give it the time it needed.
