My wife, 14 year old daughter, and I came here for the first time two years ago and fell in love with the place. We were not big history buffs at the time but this place caught are interest in a big way. We have now been trying to come 3 to 4 times a year so that we can experience Colonial Williamsburg during every season and it has never disappointed. The shows are amazing and the actor/interpreters are so knowledgable about their characters and are so balanced in their views on history and how we can learn from it for today. There is so much to do here that you can keep coming again and again and not hit it all. We also love the area. In the evenings we go to nature trails in Yorktown, Jamestown, and Williamsburg. Yorktown is a great place in itself with much to do and it's so nice in the evenings especially Wormley Pond. Jamestown has a five mile wildlife drive you can take which is fantastic! Also if you like nature trails be sure to hit the Bassett Hall Nature Trail in Colonial Williamsburg. I could go on and on about how great this place is. I'd just like to say that sometimes I read some negative reviews on here and I suspect that people just didn't have a look at all the programs that they could take advantage of on a daily basis. Thank you Colonial Williamsburg for being family friendly and delivering a great message to those who come to hear it! Keep up the good work!

A walk through colonial Williamsburg was interesting, but the interactions with the period actors seemed to be minimum. I was also apart of group tour and the tour guide(s) did a great job, but once again a lot of walking with little information. I simple expected more.

The staff is very helpful and the interpreters are very knowledgeable and enlightening. The walking tours and plays at the museum auditorium are outstanding.
