A great place to visit and enjoy Thanksgiving dinner at one the taverns in Colonial Williamsburg.The crowds were very light and it was very enjoyable to have Thanksgiving during that period in history.

Admission tickets were discounted because we went off season (October).. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed our visit without a huge crowd and heat. Some presentations are on alternate days during off season, so you'll want to take note of that when you get your tickets. The educators are amazing & clearly love what they are doing. Some visitors wore old time clothing which was fun to see too.

There are almost 80 buildings in Colonial Williamsburg that you can tour or visit. The times given for many of them are absurd. To see the Palace and grounds is AT LEAST 45 mins and you may have to wait to get in. To see the museum is at leat 2 hours if you run. We just spent 4 days there and could have done 8 more. Every time we go we lern more.
