Bought my Colonial Williamsburg tickets on line about 2 months in advance of our trip then learned that those tickets were useable until the end of the year. We went to Colonial Williamsburg every day of our visit. Slick way to by-pass the lines and slide right through the Visitor Center to the shuttle bus to the settlement. We found all of the ticket agents at the Williamsburg settlement to be very helpful, pleasant and helpful.

My wife and I both enjoy history and Colonial Williamsburg is a great place to explore how our nation started. We bought a 7 day pass and have spent almost the entire time in Colonial Williamsburg.

It's good that the area is maintained for posterity, but it is expensive to get in. It seems overly commercialized to me. The only real history, not refurbished, was the ghost tour (at an extra cost) which allowed a visit the Whyte and Randolph houses. We went to the original Jamestown site and Yorktown afterward. For lovers of history, I recommend those.
