This 6-hour tour explores the fjords and passageways of the Prince William Sound in route to South-central Alaska's largest tidewater glacier – Columbia Glacier. Your all-Alaskan captain and crew will share with you the history of the Sound and point out the marine wildlife and bird life in the area such as sea otters, seals, sea lions, whales, porpoises, eagles, puffins and more!

What To Expect

Columbia Glacier

Columbia Glacier is the largest glacier in south-central Alaska. Each day Columbia calves off around 8 million tons of ice. Depending on this ice flow we will navigate the large ice bergs getting as close to the face of Columbia as the ice and safety dictate.

Prince William Sound

Prince William Sound is a protected part of the ocean that we cruise in. It is rich with wildlife, glacier, beautiful glacier carved fjords and history.

Our family of 4 did the 6 hour, 1030a tour to Columbia Glacier. We have teenagers, 15 and 18 and it can be a challenge to keep them engaged on a long tour, the loved the trip as did my wife and I. The wildlife was fantastic, we saw Eagles, Sea Lions, Seals, Puffins and Humpback whales; the captain and crew was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had an excellent visit to Columbia Glacier getting close very close to the face surrounded by ice and mountains. Prince William Sound is just beautiful. Probably the best tour we did on our trip to Alaska.

Gorgeous glaciers, stunning views of cascading waterfalls, mountains, beautiful blue waters. Our Captain took us up close to see the most incredible glaciers, sea lions perched on rocks. We requested to get close to an unbelievable glacier. He drove us right to it. We were overwhelmed with the crystal blue, chiseled ice. Ethan and his gracious crew served us delicious chowder and chili. So nice to have a warm meal, while out on the icy waters. I snagged a cute hat on the boat, to keep me warm.
