This 6-hour tour explores the fjords and passageways of the Prince William Sound in route to South-central Alaska's largest tidewater glacier – Columbia Glacier. Your all-Alaskan captain and crew will share with you the history of the Sound and point out the marine wildlife and bird life in the area such as sea otters, seals, sea lions, whales, porpoises, eagles, puffins and more!

What To Expect

Columbia Glacier

Columbia Glacier is the largest glacier in south-central Alaska. Each day Columbia calves off around 8 million tons of ice. Depending on this ice flow we will navigate the large ice bergs getting as close to the face of Columbia as the ice and safety dictate.

Prince William Sound

Prince William Sound is a protected part of the ocean that we cruise in. It is rich with wildlife, glacier, beautiful glacier carved fjords and history.

We did the Columbia glacier tour for 6 hours with 2 other couples. The boat ride on the Stan stephens glacier & wildlife cruise was fantastic. The staff was excellent always ready to answer any questions. The captain was so informative stopping whenever there was something to see. We saw sea otters, ball porpoises which were so fun to see( probably were 8 in the group that was around our boat) sea lions, seals, puffins and eagles. We got within 2 nautical miles of the glacier. Saw lots of icebergs. So worth the cost if you are worried about spending the $ on a 6 hr cruise. Lunch was good either having vegetarian chili or a seafood chowder with bagels and Oreos. As much water, tea or coffee that you wanted to drink. Just enough to eat.

Excellent cruise, great day in the sound Captains narration was great the boat seemed brand new very comfortable, lunch was good, all crew very helpful and friendly
