What To Expect
1
Columbia Glacier
Columbia Glacier is the largest glacier in south-central Alaska. Each day Columbia calves off around 8 million tons of ice. Depending on this ice flow we will navigate the large ice bergs getting as close to the face of Columbia as the ice and safety dictate.
2
Prince William Sound
Prince William Sound is a protected part of the ocean that we cruise in. It is rich with wildlife, glacier, beautiful glacier carved fjords and history.

WOW, absolutely magnificent cruise from start to finish. Wonderful narrative from the captain during the whole cruise and interesting to learn all the history of the area. We had a beautiful day weather wise, the scenery was magnificent and we spotted lots of wildlife including sea otters, sea lions, bald eagles, dolphins and a humpback whale but the highlight of the cruise was seeing Columbia Glacier up so close and witnessing it calving a couple of times. The captain maneouvered the boat between lots of ice flows to get us so close to the glacier, incredible experience (didn't expect to get so near), has to rate as my No 1 travel experience to date. Great boat and wonderful lunch served on board, as well as free coffee, tea and lemonade. Captain and crew were all fantastic.

We thought this was an amazing tour. All the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We were able to get very close to the glacier...even though the weather was crappy. I would suggest taking layers and gloves. Inside is warm, free coffee, hot tea, water, lemonade and either clan chowder or minestrone soup for lunch. It was enough food that included a bagel and Oreos. We didn't get to see whales but plenty of other wildlife. They offer binoculars to rent for $5. A camera with a nice zoom will help make it even better.

We took our teenage grandsons on the Columbia Glacier cruise. The weather was cool and drizzly, but we went and had a wonderful time. We saw mountain goats, Dall porpoise, sea lions, a black bear sow with twin cubs, bald eagles perched on an iceberg, sea otters, puffins, and the amazing glacier! The glacier calved three times while we were there watching, and our grandsons were amazed at the sight and sound. Well worth the time and cost. Highly recommended.
