Stopped off on route to Niagara Falls, for look round and more importantly lunch. First stop was the on site food hall selling a variety of different foods. Went for the Chicken Kadai with rice, extremely tasty and didn't break the bank. Then back to the shop/showroom, lots of glass on sale but sadly very little actually made at the glassworks, most of it labelled with the ubiquitous "made in China"! Then on to the live glass art studio to watch the blowers at work making "cactus" inspired vases, informative and very entertaining.

Thanks for leaving a review! It's great to hear that you enjoyed our Cafe, Shops, and live demonstrations. Over half of our offerings in The Shops are made in the United States, including Pyrex, Steuben, and glass objects made by local artisans. In the summer we have additional live demonstrations, more than 50 a day, including special programming only offered during this time. Thanks for visiting, we hope to see you again!

We wanted to hike, but the weather was to be hot and rainy, so we drove a bit out of our way to visit this museum, which friends had raved about. My spouse was dubious, but, by the end of our visit, he was convinced that it had been a great idea to stop here. The art is breath-taking, and the exhibits and demonstrations are super-informative. You can easily spend a couple of hours here.

Thanks so much for visiting! We are so glad that we could help make a rainy day fun for both you and your spouse during your time in Upstate NY. It sounds like you were pleasantly surprised about all that we have offer and we are so glad you had the opportunity to stop by. Remember, kids and teens 17 and under are always free and admission to the Museum is valid for two consecutive days so it's a great solution for rainy weather. Hope this is just the start of many more return visits, thanks for your review!

Please see my attached photo of the admission cost. We chose to just visit the Corning Museum. The first thing I thought of when I heard about the museum was Corningware and how dull it would be to see Corningware over the years. The museum is about glass and the amazing things artists have done with it. We spent about 2 hours here and I don't think we experienced everything. There are live demonstrations on glass blowing (definitely go see), glass breaking and you can even make your own glass for a fee. There is a restaurant on site and a gift shop.

It's great to hear that we surpassed your expectations. When some visitors hear our name they sometimes think we only house Corningware when in reality our collection is the largest public collection of glass objects in the world. We also offer atypical museum experiences through our Make Your Own Glass projects and daily live demonstrations. Since it sounds like you loved our Hot Glass demonstration, you should check out our YouTube channel to find videos of past guest artists creating awesome works. Thanks for visiting and leaving a review, think of us on your next trip through Upstate NY!
