I remember it being great as a child and does not disappoint 20 years later. So many different types of glassware that just draw you in. My Mom and I spent hours fascinated when turning every corner. And then the gift shop is top notch. It is an exhibit in itself. Bought some great earrings and Pyrex bowls for $0.99!! You could certainly spend a fortune there.

Thanks for visiting us again after 20 years! It's great to hear that you found your visit here as a child to be memorable and you had a similar experience once again. We try to offer a range of options of souvenirs to please anyone's interests and budget and it sounds like we were able to do that for you. Next time, you should try out your hand at glassmaking through our Make Your Own Glass program. We hope to see you again!

I figured it would be an exhibit on Corningware. Boy was I wrong. There was an exhibit on Corningware and how it was "accidentally" discovered than was real interesting. The main reason it seems for the museum is to display glass as an art form. I didn't realize how many art forms in included. There were displays of art, cups, plates, glasses and just about every conceivable form of glass. Live demonstrations are also available. If you want to see everything real carefully allow several hours. There is also a cafeteria on site to eat.

Very busy with tour buses but nice parking just steps from the entrance( when coming from the north do not park in the first lot but pass the museum and take the right into the second parking lot which is much closer). The museum is well staffed with lots of helpful people and there are frequent displays of glass related activities. Great gift shop and the place is very clean. If you want to blow glass or make a glass ornament you should book online ahead of time as they sell out.
