Explore the stunning day-lit Contemporary Art + Design Wing, which houses the best of the last 25 years in glass, and a 500-seat Amphitheater Hot Shop, a space dedicated to live glass demos and design sessions. See glass created before your eyes during a live, narrated Hot Glass Demo, and be inspired to experience glassmaking for yourself during a Make Your Own Glass workshop, with projects for all ages. Choose from fused picture frames and suncatchers, sandblasted drinking glasses, flameworked beads, pulled-glass flowers, delicate blown ornaments, and seasonal projects (additional fee). The history of glass itself was truly eye opening. Actually observing artists at work was truly wonderful. We use Corelli dishes so seeing how they are made was fascinating. Advice for future guests. Do allow 2 days. We couldn’t enjoy all of it as we would have liked in 1 day. .

Thanks so much for visiting and for taking the time to leave a review. It sounds like your visit helped you to see glass in a new light! Thank you for providing your advice on allowing 2 days for visiting. You're right, there is so much to see and do at the museum. For this reason, all of our admission passes are valid for two consecutive days to allow our visitors as much time as they would like to explore all that the museum has to offer. We hope to see you again soon!

We just visited the museum and were “blown away” (yes, meant that!😉) by this museum experience!! The exhibits were fascinating - particularly loved learning about the discovery of fiber optics!! (… and the origin of glass, and glass and wine, and more!) The Tiffany glass!! The Chihuly❤️❤️ Cat Burns🙀🙀 oh my! Do not miss the glassblowing - if for no other reason, you get to be in a hot shop!! And you get to talk with glass blowers! (Hello Christian!) And the gallery adjacent to Hot Shop 9 is the Frederick Carder display… featuring aurene glass (that he invented) and enough beauty to take your breath away! But you cannot miss the museum store, because you seriously will be exploring modern art. And you’ll want several mementos of your trip! The shop was like a candy store… full of amazing treats for the eyes! And there are several price points for all shoppers! So - the best part of our trip can be the best part of yours!! Don’t miss it!
