Cosmos Mystery Area
The mystery house located within the Cosmos of the Black Hills was discovered in 1952 by two college students who were looking for the perfect place to build a summer cabin. Here, the laws of logic and physics seem to be turned upside down as you feel a slight unbalance in this crooked old cabin.Ā  Admission includes a 30 minute guided, interactive tour where you will be amazed as you see water run uphill, can stand on a wall, and see other incredible optical illusions. The tour consists of various demonstrations that are designed to boggle the mind. Ā  Located just minutes from Rapid City and Mount Rushmore, The Cosmos is sure to astonish and amaze the mind. Ā

"I was amazed at how crazy the forces on my body were during the tour. Only Aliens could possibly create this, hehe! The guide made it fun and showed us all how things can seem normal only to prove they weren't. The gift shop was a little lacking but the tur was good fun. I recommend it to everyone."

Your definitely thrown for a loop when you enter the room. It’s amazing how things look level but your standing way off to keep your balance. It was truly an odd but very cool experience

I visited for the first time recently from the UK. I had seen it on a TV show and was delighted when I saw the attraction not far from where I was staying. This place was amazing, you can't walk straight, balls roll upwards, as does water, a really unique experience I will never forget. The tour guide was also really humorous. I wish we could have had longer to spend in the cabin on our own, however the tour was really interesting from start to finish. There is parking outside, and a gift store.
