The day was cold and filled with snow, sleet and biting wind but that was no deterrent to our incredibly knowledgeable guide Rhonda. Over 90 minutes we walked 2nd street traversing some of Dahmer's stomping grounds as we learned the story of his life and the far too many victims he claimed. Rhonda began with his childhood and progressed on through his eventual murder in prison, showing photographs in addition to specific sites he frequented. The photos of his victims bring them back to life as greatly loved members of their families and punctuate the tragedy of their loss. The tour was well paced, interesting and very informative. Following the tour I opted to thaw out and enjoy an excellent meal from the Cigar Bar's food menu as well as a delicious mocktail. They have an extensive array of spirits, wines, beers and of course cigars, and the interior of bar is a feast for the eyes. Rhonda even shared some of the bar staff's experiences with Dahmer as he often frequented this bar. The tour was very well worth the fee and braving the elements!

While the tour guide was nice and knowledgeable of the story, the tour itself was just a regurgitation of the Netflix series. We walked down Second St and would stop periodically at places that were not of any significance to Dahmer. During the 1.5 hour "tour", there were literally only three stops (on the sidewalk in front of the buildings, didn't go in anywhere) that were places where Dahmer used to go. To be absolutely clear, this tour was only up and down Second St; we didn't even go to the place where the apartment building used to be. Definitely not worth $40! Just watch the Netflix series.

It's a bit expensive for what you get. The tour guide was really nice, but she seemed a little jumbled. She was knowledgeable, but some of the things seemed off from stuff I've read and seen. That's to be expected though everybody has their own version and they gotta make it interesting. I was disappointed we didn't go into any buildings besides Shakers.
