I've been on a few ghost walks (dry, not pub crawls!) years ago when I visited Savannah with my family, so for this go-around I wanted to do something special. We went on a Friday night 9 p.m. tour with Pierce, a native Savannahian who obviously cares deeply for his city and is highly knowledgable about its history. Not gonna lie, I vaguely remember a lot of the haunted stories about Savannah but he put such a wonderful spin on everything. He was so engaging, entertaining, and fun. Plus he played well with the group and had wonderful tips for the pubs we stopped at (like the 17Hundred90 bar, which was fantastic)! He was supremely talented and I'm so glad that we went on this tour instead of a regular walking ghost tour without the booze stops. I especially loved that we'd stop for a drink, then once we regrouped he'd talk about how the place where we were is haunted (which I think is probably the best balance for a thing like this). He was also excellent at recommending different bars and spots at the end of everything. With a subject as dark as hauntings, you need some levity. And Pierce definitely brought it!
