This tour is totally customizable – you choose the length of the tour, what time you want to be picked up, and what you want to see.

I love San Francisco and have spent 20 years studying and exploring the city. I’ll work with you to plan your tour so you can see the famous sites and the hidden gems other tours can't go to or don't know about. I’ve designed this to be the type of tour I would take if I visited San Francisco, but where you go is up to you. I make suggestions along the way, but how long you spend at any site is up to you. You're never rushed, and never have to wait for other people. It's all about you!

Plus, it's fun! In the convertible MINI Cooper, you see everything up close and personal as we drive along.

I love showing guests San Francisco, and talking about the history and culture of this unique and special city.

What To Expect

Coit Tower

See the murals and views the bay and Golden Gate Bridge. How much time you spend is up to you.

Painted Ladies

Call it Postcard Row, the Painted Ladies, or the Full House houses, everyone loves seeing this site in person. And if you want to get out and take a picture, you can. As with all locations, if you want to get out is up to you.

Presidio of San Francisco

Drive through this former Army base turned national park. Stop and see the Yoda statue if you want.

North Beach

Learn the history and culture of this neighborhood that is a favorite of locals and visitors alike.

Lombard Street

If the time is right and there isn't too much traffic (usually weekend and holiday afternoons) we drive down the famous crooked st. If we can't drive down, we can at least drive by, and get out for photos if you want to.

Chinatown

Drive through this neighborhood, and learn about its history and culture. As I talk about the architecture, you can look up an see it as we drive through in the convertible MINI Cooper.

Haight-Ashbury

Drive down the street made famous in the 1960's, and learn why the music and culture made resonated around the world.

Golden Gate Park

Drive through the park, see the museums and the Japanese Tea garden. Guests enjoy driving through and learning the history of this urban garden created on top of 1,017 acres of sand. If open, there is an opportunity to go into the observation tower of the DeYoung museum.

Twin Peaks

Experience a spectacular view of the entire city, the Bay, and if the weather is clear, bridges as far south as Silicon Valley and up near the wine country.

16 Avenue Tiled Steps

The 16th Ave Tiled steps are only part of what you can see. I can show you a lesser known but equally as impressive tiled staircase, and what these staircases looked like before they were transformed into this urban art piece.

Mission District

See Mission Dolores, the Mission Murals, and location of what may be the best burritos in city.

We had two trips with Reed whilst we were in San Francisco recently. On our first morning we did an overview of the city which included driving down Lombard Street in the open top Mini Cooper and viewing the various different districts of the city and other things that I had noted with Reed that I wanted to see (Painted Ladies, Presidio among others). The second day we had a wonderful trip up to the Sonoma Wine Country with a stop in Muir Woods. Reed is a great character, full of interesting information about the city and he is excellent at his role as tour guide. The wineries we went to in Sonoma were really good. I didn't want to see the big touristy ones and Reed chose three really good smaller ones. (We especially enjoyed drinking our Cline Zinfandel when we got back!). Planning the trip with Reed was really easy - he is a good communicator and he really made the day what it was - a definite highlight of our trip.

Couples looking for the best way to see San Francisco... Reed and his mini cooper will give you an outstanding personalized tour that only he can do. We just enjoyed 3 hours seeing and learning more about San Francisco than we could anywhere else.. Thank You Again Reed..

We scheduled a tour on 6/5/15, for the three of us, two sisters, and mom. All us thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Reed is knowledgeable and personable. We booked the 4 hour tour and covered the whole city of San Francisco. The time flew by! Reed arrived in his very nice convertible Mini Cooper and we were away. Very comfortable and Reed brought blankets if needed. All of us were very comfortable in the vehicle. My mom thought Reed was a talking encyclopedia of knowledge :) We learned much of the history of San Francisco, the neighborhoods, and the legends. The stories were entertaining and the views were spectacular. The tour can be catered to your wishes. Bring a scarf and sunglasses. We put them and on and took them off depending where we were in the city. Some areas are much warmer or breezier than the other area. If someone likes less breeze give them the front seat. We also enjoyed his restaurant recommendations. Go for it you won't regret it!
