I made these reservations well ahead of time for an important birthday event for my daughter. I was told that Cloud Nine would be available for casual dining, since several in our party are vegetarian or light evening diners and the 560 would be a waste of around 500 for our meal. I checked and found that Cloud Nine was not open for our evening, and was told to eat at the hotel -- but found that restaurant closed on the night our reservations had been long booked for. Scrambling for a place to eat and getting to the Geo-Deck for sunset was not the evening I'd planned.

Definitely a must-see during any visit to Dallas. No better access to panoramic downtown Dallas views. We purchased discounted tickets via Trip Advisor viator for both a daytime and evening viewing however, since we decided to have dinner at the nearby Medieval Times, we couldn't make both our dinner reservation and the evening viewing at Reunion Tower since the observation deck closes at 8:30PM. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed our daytime view and would go again. We visited the tower on a beautifully clear but very windy day so I was concerned about feeling some movement/swaying of the tower, which turned out to be silly because even as windy as it was, we felt nothing at all. The elevator ride up the tower is a little spooky but thankfully it's quick! The elevator operator knew everything there was to know about the tower's history, which was nice to hear. Once up on deck you're left alone to take a self-guided tour 360 degrees around the Dallas skyline - If you prefer to have someone guide you, there are people up there to assist. If it's a windy day, you'll want to hold on to the doors since they are very heavy and can easily be caught by the wind and slam closed onto little fingers. During our visit, there were attendants warning us to mind the doors. There's a small snack bar on the observation deck that serves refreshments, candy, snacks and souvenirs. The main gift shop for Reunion Tower is down below, just before you get back on the escalator that takes you back up to street level. Parking for the tower is easy - there's valet out front it is after all a hotel or you may utilize the public pay-parking lot behind the tower. We brought a family friend with us so we bought an extra ticket when we arrived, which was 18.00. For 5.00 more you can add an evening visit to take in the City at night.

My third time doing this tour. It is always a great view day or night. Everytime I have gone the revolving restaurant was closed so I can't comment on it.
