For over 20 years we have provided the most unique and eco-friendly dolphin and whale watching trips to view magnificent Blue Whales, Gray Whales, Humpback Whales, Fin Whales, Minke Whales, and occasionally Orcas (Killer Whales), Pilot Whales, False Killer Whales, and more. Five species of wild dolphins are also seen throughout the year, including mega-pods with up to 10,000 dolphins! Plus sea lions, marine birds, and even sharks. You'll depart from Dana Point, home to one of the most diverse marine eco-systems in the world. Read in TripAdvisor about the whale safari. Very comfortable catamaran. Always felt safe on board despite winds. We all stood in the front of the boat. Water was cold but not a problem. We follow a blue whale for 30 minutes. What luck. Group in the morning got to see thousands of dolphins. Highly recommended.

This was our second time joining this safari journey. We had a wonderful day on the water. We were able to spend time watching 500+ common dolphins, 3 Pacific white-sided dolphins, and a grey whale. The crew were very knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely plan another safari journey with Captain Dave's.
