The History of the Gullah people on the island, including visiting the ā€œwhiteā€ and ā€œcoloredā€ school houses and the First African Methodist Church and slave ā€œPraise Houseā€. Also, Andy was insightful, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Beautiful scenery abundant with wildlife such as birds and dolphins. Our guide had in depth historical knowledge about South Carolina and Daufuskie island. The tour is 4.5 hours so bring snacks and water.

Highly recommend booking this excursion/tour. Our guide, Andy, did an excellent job from start to finish. Very informed on the facts as well as local beliefs, customs, cultures and handed-down stories. From the smooth boat ride to the island tour by golf cart, everyone on our tour (8 tourists) enjoyed our day during the 5 hour tour.
