It was sunny but really chilly (10C but windy) but Pete made the trip a memorable one regardless. He shared his knowledge of the island, the history and the life of the Gullah remaining on the island. His respect for the Gullah was evident throughout. Even though he was cold he didn’t scrimp on the trip. Would have been nice to know where the other guests were from so a bit of friendly conversation could happen. Most people seemed quite unfriendly...maybe just cold!
