Our trip to Daufuskie Island was excellent. Captain Pete was knowledgeable and made everything interesting. He noticed wildlife and made sure we got to experience it. He was thoroughly entertaining and instructive at the same time.

First time in the area. Well worth the guided trip. Don’t try the “Don’t try a do it yourself version”. We went places we would have never know about, met locals, and learned a about the history and culture. Capt. Pete is a walking encyclopedia, and knew his stuff. Fantastic day that we’ll remember for years. Thanks Capt. Pete!

We have taken many tours in the Hilton Head Island area over the years, and this was absolutely the most informative ever. Just the two of us visitors on the boat and golf cart on a sunny 72-degree day in January. We had Captain John all to ourselves and peppered him with questions throughout the 4.5 hours. He provided more in-depth and firsthand answers than anyone else had. We were pleasantly surprised that almost all of the Daufuskie sights were open, and the docents were pleased to have wintertime visitors so got into good detail on indigo dyeing, the lighthouse, wine-making, etc. --- and we got to meet Brownie, the Marsh Tacky. Overall, a great tour.
