Overview
Tucked between Hilton Head Island and Savannah, and accessible only by boat, Daufuskie Island is a real gem. This 4-hour Daufuskie Island trip provides a glimpse into a fascinating chapter of Lowcountry history on the undeveloped side of the island. Meet local artisans and learn the rich history of the Native Americans, European settlers, the cotton trade, and the Gullah culture. We encourage you to wear weather appropriate clothing, and bring water, snacks, and sunscreen.

Wow, wow, wow. What a surprise. Booked this trip at Palmetto Bluff and Captain Boo was assigned to take us there. From the moment we met Boo, we had 4 hours of his sharing his knowledge, stories and history of Palmetto Bluff and Daufuskie Island. He is a great storyteller. A true gem and rarity to experience a historic part of America that has not been commercialized or paved over. Met Chase, a metal artist. Visited a pottery, a winery and an authentic indigo dyer. Beautiful undeveloped expanse of beach across from Hilton Head. Fun boat ride from Palmetto Bluff to Daufuskie. Saw dolphins, shore birds and a juvenile bald eagle. Highly recommend this trip.

This is one of our favorite reviews of our Daufuskie Island History and Artisans Tour. What an incredible day of getting to know this remote, beautiful place. We can't wait to take you out on another trip! Abby, PR Manager [email protected]
