I Highly recommend this excursion to Daufaski Island. Captain Pete was a wealth of information and we learned so much from him. He was a great tour guide. We had not been to Daufaski for over 25 years and it was interesting to go back. The island is rich in Gullah history and this tour included stops at island artists. There is no way we would have been a bale to navigate the many dirt roads ourselves. Yes u could do this yourself with a guide map, but you won’t learn as much as going with a knowledgeable guide. There was almost too much to learn. We had a wonderful, educational, and fun afternoon.

Captain Pete was hands down the reason you need a tour guide for this excursion! He was so full of knowledge, he was polite, had stories for days and made this the best “adventure” our family has done while visiting Hilton Head (which we have been coming to for over 20 years). 100% recommend a tour of Dafuskie with Captain Pete! The island itself is so full of history and is beautiful!

Our guide Captain Pete was amazing! His extensive knowledge and first hand experiences of not only the island but the surrounding area made the trip not only educational but fun. After coming to HH for 30+ years this was our first trip to Daufuskie and we are sorry that we waited so long. We would definitely recommend this excursion and already have!
