We were a Siblings Family of 10, including our spouses, who live in various parts of the USA. As African Americans of a similar generation, the history was very important to us. Our Captain/ Guide, Andy Kennedy, was OUTSTANDING! Andy was very knowledgeable, sensitive in relating the history,1 easy to engage with, and actually a wonderful man. He made our tour extraordinary.

There were 11 guests on this tour with only 1 guide. My family had a group of 6. Golf carts seated only 6, so we had to use 2 carts. Unbelievably, I was asked to drive one of the golf carts and serve as the guide’s assistant. Not what I expected as a paying guest.

Andy , our tour guide, was so knowledgeable and friendly. He made old Daufuskie come alive and linked it to how the islands economy is functioning present day. Just fascinating. Would take it again as so much info was shared.
