Grand Traverse Bay

Enjoy a beautiful sail on a 63-ft schooner around the Grand Traverse Bay. This family-friendly sail includes locally-sourced food and drinks. Help raise the sails and sit at the helm while you learn about the natural and cultural history of the region. You are pampered by the captain and crew while you relax and take in the amazing colors of the water, feel the wind on your skin and taste the food and drink fresh from the farms and shops of the area.

Beautiful boat but it was a very slow sail. I was waiting to get started and maybe help out but no just a lot of sitting .

Sailing a schooner requires adjustment to the wind and yesterday was a calmer day on the water. I so wish that we could control the wind and weather! My daughter Deborah really wanted to take a trip on the lake with Wind Dancer. I was not as excited as she was…but I decided to take her for a graduation gift. It was wonderful!!! I would definitely recommend it and next time will take the sunset sail.

Great time. The crew was exceptional with service and knowledge. Food was great, best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! Very enjoyable day. My daughters are hard to find activities they both like and this seemed to be it. If we come back to the area, we will book this again!
