Grand Traverse Bay

Enjoy a beautiful sail on a 63-ft schooner around the Grand Traverse Bay. This family-friendly sail includes locally-sourced food and drinks. Help raise the sails and sit at the helm while you learn about the natural and cultural history of the region. You are pampered by the captain and crew while you relax and take in the amazing colors of the water, feel the wind on your skin and taste the food and drink fresh from the farms and shops of the area.

I booked a sail as a single and had so much fun! I met 3 couples. One was celebrating a birthday and another was celebrating a Honeymoon. The cocktails kept coming. Since it was a day trip the sandwich provided was fine. I helped the crew and learned a lot. FUN trip. I want to do the sunset trip next!

This boat is Super Solid! Having had my own powerboat for many years, I can attest to this boat's great handling and solid structure. This boat sliced it through the waters of West GT Bay, the crew are Super handlers and took us (May 23, 2022) by the greatest views of both the Peninsula and Leelanau Peninsula. The lunch catered aboard and the great amount of beverage options were handy treats! Even snacks of local Great Lakes Chip Company and local Deerings jerky took the edge off before lunch! Thanks for a great sail!

There's nothing like a beautiful sunset cruise on Wind Dancer. The farm to table food, local wine and friendly service from the crew was perfect! We loved all the historical info about Traverse City from the Captain. Thanks for a wonderful sail!
