Very knowledgeable and polite staff and guide. The horses and donkeys are treated very well . We learned things about Charleston that we didn’t read in books.

Scott provided a great tour of history and his passion of the city showed. The area of town you get a tour of is solely based on a lottery system. So you never know what part of the city you will get to see, which would allow you to take the tour again with a good chance of seeing another part of the town. It was also great to know how well the horses are loved and taken care of. Melody was a beautiful horse and a great guide.

a whopping 13.5' above sea level, or at least that moment of learning was part of our tour's fun and informative experience. Scott our guide, along with Jack & Jill (our trusty draft horses), took us and our guests on a leisurely carriage ride. Along the way we heard history, mystery, and fun facts about the lovely city of Charleston. Carriage rides are a delightful way to introduce Charleston to newcomers and guests to the area and Palmetto Carriage Works (look for the BIG RED BARN) is the best! I love going, no matter how frequently I go, there's always something new. By the way, the horses are well cared for.
