Scott was fantastic. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable about the history of the city but he was very entertaining. Would highly recommend him & Palmetto tours.

The entire experience was fantastic and I would recommend reserving a tour with this company over the others every single time. My tour guide was Scott & the horses were Tom & Jerry. He shared interesting facts about Charleston that we would have never known about if we hadn’t taken his tour. He incorporated his humor into it & made sure to ask every family/group where they were originally from which made the tour feel a lot more personal. Overall I learned a lot about Charleston through this tour and had a great tour guide that obviously cared very much about his job, the horses, and every guest he gives a tour to. Thank you Palmetto Carriage Works!

Made our reservation the evening before our ride. We showed up and were on our way within 15 minutes of our assigned time. There were enough people for 3 carriages and the efficient and friendly employees were organized and had us loaded and ready to go. We enjoyed our horse drawn carriage tour through historic Charleston. The city has a system in place to assign each carriage a separate route so the streets don't get overrun with carriages. Because of this, you won't know which area you will see until the route is assigned. Our driver Ian was knowledgeable and engaging and Harmony the horse responded very well to him. Ian shared some historical information about the city and several of the churches, houses, and streets we passed. This is a must-do activity while visiting Charleston and I definitely recommend Palmetto Carriage Works.
