We got to the barn a little early and they that me let the horses (which I loved). We had Jenny as a tour guide and loved her. She was very knowledgeable and made out tour great. She made us feel like she had known us forever. I will definitely recommend this to anyone who asks what they should do. Thank you for a wonderful time!!

It was very easy to book this tour and find the Red Barn from where carriages depart. Convenient monitored parking lot across the street. I was a bit surprised at how many people are seated on the carriages given that each of the four planked seats are no more than two feet apart - in these times of Covid. Each family is seated in their own plank and everyone wore a mask. Tour was very detailed on history of churches in Charleston and a lot of attention on the mansions. I expected a bit more of Charleston history to be relayed - especially regarding the forming of our nation - but all in all it was entertaining and we did enjoy the tour. Staff were all very polite.

Hi Patricia, I'm glad you enjoyed your time with us. Unfortunately due to the size of our carriages we aren't able to maintain six feet of distance on our public tours. If you come back for a tour before COVID is behind us, we have a private tour option that you might prefer, though. Also please feel welcome to ask your tour guide about any topics you are interested in. There is so much history in Charleston that each tour guide crafts their tour in a different way and chooses particular things to talk about, but they love getting questions about other aspects of the city's history. Thank you for the honest review. Take care, Marina
