What To Expect

Charleston City Market

Our Barn is located just off of the Charleston City Market. You will meet your certified tour guide here and then you will depart on your hour long horse or mule drawn carriage tour. The carriage will go through the City gate at the market where the tour guide is assigned a tour route. You will see about 30 blocks of the historic district which will include beautiful architecture, churches, buildings, gardens and more. The tour returns to the Big Red Barn.

We had a great time on our ride. Our tour guide Van was very friendly, funny, and knowledgeable about Charleston. It was a fun way to see a beautiful historic city. I would highly recommend it. They also give free parking for the day with your ticket in the downtown area which I thought was a nice bonus. Their location is close to a lot of restaurants and other nice things to see in town. We were able to walk around a bit and have dinner after our tour. I would highly recommend this!

The tour was informative, we learned about Charleston’s history. The company was very organized and we enjoyed the humor mixed in with the information shared. My only complaint is that the guide’s mask didn’t cover his nose and it made us uncomfortable. I’m from the northeast where we practice social distancing and the buggy was full
