My kids (9 and 15 yo)and I were in town for the day and wanted to do a carriage ride. I thought it would be a good option since a lot of walking creates a lot of whining! Because of the free parking, I chose Palmetto Carriage Works. The lot was a little tricky to find, but the attendants were very helpful. In fact, I was able to purchase our tickets right from my car! We had a short wait in the barn area which included clean restrooms. The carriage seats were petitioned off and guests were asked to wear a mask due to COVID. I believe there were a total of 11 people on board. Our route (which is randomly chosen) took us by the powder magazine, the 4 corners of law, the Williams (Calhoun) Mansion and the circular church to name a few. While our guide wasn't fantastic, he was knowledgeable and answered any questions. The tour lasted about an hour. Overall, it was a good experience and I'm glad we went!

Great tour. Staff very friendly and the tour guide was full of interesting facts of the history of the area. Also a very safe tour to take during this troubling time. Love the care they give to their teams.
