I hate there because the security guard standing at lobby. When I wear backpack entering to admission desk. A black man is a security guard say something loud to my direction, I didn't aware he is talking to me. He said something again and looking at me, I knew this time he is talking to me but I didn't get what he is saying. Suddenly, he shout " off!" loudly, I was scared of him. I walk towards him, I tried to understand what he said. Finally, I get it I need to put down the backpack under my waist.
I was tourist from Asian, my English is not as good as American. If I didn't get your meaning, you have to be patient or use body language to make your guests to understand but not shouting makes every people looking at me. Also, the word "OFF" is very impolite wording.
Actually, at that time, there is lobby area, I didn't understand why need to put down the backpack under waist. The security guard should remind guest in front of each exhibits room, not lobby area.
The security guard also not telling me there is a free storage to keep my backpack. Is it not your job? But I thanks the sweet lady sitting on admission desk telling me that.
