It had been over 16 years since I lived and worked in Dallas and I was really eager to see how Deep Ellum had developed during that time. The walking tour with Emily was informative, and it was really fun to experience some of the restaurants in this funky area of town. The food was ample and very good. I recommend the tour and think it would be enjoyable for locals as well as tourists. Emily took photos of us in front of some of the murals and promised to email them to us. Looking forward to seeing them!

Living in the DFW area, I didn’t think I would really gain much from going on one of the food tours. I felt like it was an activity geared more towards out-of-towners, but I was pleasantly proved wrong. I went on the Deep Ellum tour with Emily as a guide, and by the time it was done, I was full of good food and great information about an area I thought I knew so well. Emily was very knowledgeable and was able to keep the tour going smoothly and worry free. The food at each of the restaurants was more than delicious, and the little shops we stopped at were quite fun. I got to experience things that I would’ve normally walked right by on a normal day. Even though it may be a familiar area, the tour makes it new and different.
