Deep Sea Fishing Day Tour in the Gulf of Mexico from Orlando

Overview
We leave Central Florida and travel along the interstate passed Tampa to the Gulf of Mexico. Once at the beach you will have until 12.45pm to stroll down the pier or beach, and perhaps grab lunch if you wish. The afternoon deep sea fishing boat departs at 1pm and it is a 4 hour long cruise.

The fishing grounds are around 10 miles from the dockside, so typically this takes between 45mins- 1hour to travel there. If you haven’t fished before do not fear, we have a friendly crew onboard that can definably help you. Ask the deckhand for pointers during the cruise out to the fishing grounds and make the most of your fishing time.

Usually the boat makes 2 -3 stops but it depends on how the fish are co-operating! We catch Grunts (Snapper family), Sea Bass and the occasional Grouper. In warmer months we have caught species of shark.

If you want to keep the catch, the crew will ice it for you, and don't forget a cooler for the journey back!

The staff were very friendly and helpful however the bus was a nightmare situation with one family’s children screaming the entire time down and up.

Hi Sir, We are also Floridans and we partner with Queen Fleet Fishing Charters in Clearwater Beach. The boats on this tour go 10 miles out into the Gulf of Mexico, it takes about 1 hour to get to the fishing waters. Florida Black Sea Bass is often caught by guests when they are fishing on the boats. The black sea bass (Centropristis striata) is an exclusively marine grouper found more commonly in northern than in southern ranges. It inhabits the coasts from Maine to northeast Florida and the eastern Gulf of Mexico. The 10 mile portion we use as fishing grounds is a cited source of the fish and if you take a look at the Queen Fleet website you will see many pictures of guest with their catch showing on the rods, and the boat. If you would like to call the dock and ask the crew in what regions they catch the Florida Black Sea Bass I am sure they will assist you in giving you further information. Kind regards, Tori

Had gone on the half day cruise last year, and had a great time! But the half day trip was all booked so we took the full day one! What a mistake! Boat was much narrower than the other so it pitched and rolled way more! Spent 2 hours chugging out into the Gulf! Spent 4 hours floating around trying to find fish! My grandson and I caught maybe 8 small trash fish between us! Very boring! Some people caught a number of fish but the overall take looked pretty small for that many people fishing for 4 hours! Take the half day trip or don’t go!!!

pawdyg10: We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your day of fishing. However, we are not sure you went on a Gray Line Orlando tour. We only offer a 4 hour fishing excursion that goes 45 minutes into the Gulf. We hope next time you are able to go on the shorter excursion, as it sounds like it is more suitable for what you want! If you have any questions please contact us so we can get them sorted out for you! Have a wonderful day! Kind regards, Karissa
