This is a fun outing from Denali Hotels - driving in a caravan of multicolored jeeps (looks like skittles) down the Old Denali Highway. Our guide was entertaining and informative. We were picked up from out hotel and rode in the jeeps about 4 hours. We saw many critters, walked on the tundra and had beautiful views of glaciers coming off the Alaska Range. They treated us very well and gave us our own jeep to drive rather than being crowded in with other folks.

The folks at Denali Jeep Excursions were very accommodating as we arrived late due to the train being behind schedule out of Anchorage. Greg and T keep the jeeps in tip top condition and very clean. After a short introduction on safety and operation we were on our way caravan style. Greg and T girl narrate during the drive via CB radio and look hard for wildlife along the route. We did see some moose, beavers and a porcupine. Overall the trip is fun. The stop at reflection lake and walking on the Tundra were highlights. It rained on and off during our excursion but we still had a good time. There were some long stretches of highway (dirt road) with little to see and Greg tries to fill in the time with trivia and interesting stories. The company is focused on safety and providing an exceptional excursion. They provided bags for everyone to collect blue berries we found at all the stops. My family enjoyed the trip.

The Jeep tour was great! We covered a lot of areas and had plenty of time to get out, take pictures, eat wild blueberries and enjoy. Saw moose and caribou. Worth every penny. Also, I had screwed up my reservation and instead of being difficult, they let me reschedule and said they "everyone makes mistakes". It's hard to find such customer service anymore, especially in a tourist town. Thanks Denali Jeep Excurisions!
