Since I have some photography experience and didn't need basics for using my gear, Todd just drove me around to some of his favorite places to shoot. These were locations outside the park that I would not have seen driving on just the Parks Highway. The tour had a couple of cancellations that day so it was like having a private tour. While I traveled with a few lenses and two bodies, Todd loaned me one of his mid-range lenses to try something new. We talked composition, lighting, reflections, and wildlife photography. Early September was perfect for fall colors. I spent almost a month in Alaska and this tour was one of the highlights. Great experience.

Hi Karin! Thank you so much for your review! Our tour is great for photographers like you who want someone to take you to great locations with great light. All of our tours have at most 4 people, so even a full tour is like a private tour. Thanks again!

Hi Sergey, when there is poor weather (rain or high percentage of cloud cover) in the areas where we will be going for our excursion, we always call our guests in advance to give them the option to rebook (if their itineraries allow) or receive a full refund. Because weather changes so quickly, we cannot do this days in advance, it is always a decision close to tour time. Our excursions go to the other side of a mountain pass from where the area hotels are, which means it could be clear and blue skies above your hotel and completely flat light and rain where we will actually be going. Our guides have years of experience being in the terrain and reading the radar to understand the light and weather and how it will impact our locations. We never want to exploit our guests and force them to go if we know we will not be able to deliver the quality of images we are proud of and known for. We want every excursion to exceed expectations and to give our guests all of the information and the opportunity to get a refund before going on the tour if they will be disappointed with flat light. Our guides are always happy to go, no matter the conditions and can focus on learning opportunities if the conditions are not good for "epic" shots. You were given these same options and chose a refund. We are sorry for any misunderstanding, our intention was to respect you and your financial investment. Thank you
