Our photo guides are professional photographers and expert light-wranglers; they will be your location scout, driver, and instructor – seeking out the best locations and the most dramatic lighting in real time. Guides provide individualized instruction so you can hone your skills as you capture beautiful images that will last a lifetime. Our guide was Todd, a handsome rascal who held forth on his free-spirited life. Todd (for me) was best at discussing composition, though for those who need it, he'll guide your through aperture settings, the histogram, and other technical aspects of taking pictures. He stopped at three spots, one of which was a real find and involved a short hike from the road. He did make three other stops at my request. I'd give the tour a B.

Hi Robert, we appreciate your feedback. Our guides also endeavor to meet each guest where they are and help to fine-tune skills for the best possible images. The locations depend on weather and light during that specific time, which is what would have been guiding Todd's choices for locations during your excursion. We always encourage our guests to point out places of interest to them (which will be different person to person) and accommodate requests for stops - that is why we keep group sizes small - so that we can ensure each guest can have a personalized experience. As a professional photographer, I have limited time to explore some of the best shooting locations. Todd took us to several out of the normal stops to show off some of his favorite vantage points. Small groups ensure that you get time with the guide when you need answers.

Amazing tips and info. I learned a few things about my camera’s function that hadn’t tried to use before. They took us to places to get photos that we would not have otherwise been able to see. Highly recommended l! Thanks to Todd fir a great trip!!
