Denver Graffiti Tour

Overview
Denver Graffiti Tour is a 2-hour walking showcase of Denver's best murals and street art (and some of the best in the country). Learn the story behind the art and how the rapidly changing RiNo neighborhood has affected the art and its long-time residents. Whether visiting Denver for the first time or a Mile High native, you'll see the street art and this neighborhood in a new light.

We end at the Denver Central Market, a gourmet food hall where you can eat or drink at one of the 10 eateries.

(Oh, and we offer custom times and private tours. Inquire by email or phone.)

Guided Tour
Additional Info
  • Wheelchair accessible
  • Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
  • Service animals allowed
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • The majority of the walking tour is paved. There are one or two sections that may go over hard-packed dirt. And we also go down an alleyway for a few blocks that sometimes has debris and/or glass. We have had many strong people in wheel chairs on the tour with no problems, but those in wheel chairs without a lot of strength may find it difficult in certain sections.
What To Expect
1
RiNo Art District
Tour-goers will be guided on foot through the RiNo Art District to see some of the best murals and street art in the country. We'll stop at anywhere from 20-30 pieces, but you'll see nearly 100. (And we love questions about all of it.) We'll also stop to discuss the neighborhood's rapid change has brought new hip businesses but also contributed to the displacement of long-time residents ... and has had an effect on the art. We'll end at Denver Central Market (about a 1/2 mile from the start) where you can grab food or drink from any of the gourmet food hall's 10 restaurants.

We took the Denver Graffiti tour for Doors Open Denver and it was worth every cent. The tour included background on Denver, RINO and most importantly, the artists. I saw pieces of art that I had missed on my many personal tours of RINO's street art and I learned so much about the different artists. Kudos to Denver Graffiti tour for giving us a personal view into this fascinating area and also for promoting all the artists through social media and their presentations. I highly recommend the tour to anyone visiting or living in Denver.

Penny, it means a lot to us to read your kind words. We try to showcase great art as well as the neighborhood context in which it's being made. Cheers.

My sister and I had a lot of fun on this tour. In addition to the You learn a little something about the history and current trends of the Five Points neighborhood, in addition to seeing some incredible street art (more of this than graffiti). Weā€™d definitleu go back and hopefully they expand to other parts of Denver (a scooter tour??)!

Xavier! Grateful for your kind words. It's so gratifying to have people reflect back to us what we're trying to put out there. Cheers!

I took our teenage foreign exchange student with me on the tour. She had done similar things in Paris, London and Amsterdam. She though this Denver tour was actually one of the best. I greatly appreciated James' ability and willingness to dive into honest discussions about gentrification and the effects on a neighborhood's history and long-term residents. Loved learning more about the unwritten culture of street art and graffiti artists. And am inspired to explore and find more art on my own in the hidden corners of our city.

So grateful for the kind words, Jill. We do our best to have fun, show some beautiful pieces and put it all in the broader context of what's going on in the street art community and in the neighborhood as a whole. Thanks for coming out.
