My wife and I have done the Grey Line in 10-12 cities. This time we hit it big by getting Gigi (?) as or driver/ tour director. She was unbelievably knowledgeable about all aspects of Nashville but, she was the highlight of our trips entertainment. Gigi had us in stitches laughing throughout the entire tour. A week later we're still talking about her and her stories! If you ever go to Nashville on the Grey Line I hope you are lucky enough to hook up with Gigi !

While I typically tell people to do this type of tour when they get in town, I would not suggest this. We could have used Uber, bought tickets & ran on our own time. They booked so many people that we spent 1 hour picking everyone up. Other tours have been more organized so they can run on time. (Please expand the tour time, pick up less people, or something.) Ryman tour...we were given maybe 30 min for it. (I drove around picking people up for longer than Ryman.) Took more than 20 min to get into the place & through short intro movie. We had 5 min to visit the place. (Maybe buy tickets in advance so we don’t have to wait with you in line?) Short drive around town. Country Music Hall of Fame drop off & we were done. I think I spent too much for this one. Again...all over the US I have done these tours & never been disappointed. This one just wasn’t thought through. More Ryman time needed. Maybe have people meet at Ryman & do that first? Then drive around at a designated time & then CMHF. I think I just solved it. 😀

We did the Discover Nashvillle tour - it was two couples, me & my husband & his sister and her husband. It was an alternate in case of rain that was forecast - totally worth our time! We had "Big Jerry" as our guide, what an excellent one he was. Full of Nashville history and updates on the present day, and so knowledgeable. He made the trip fun, and in spite of a couple of down pours (we were on the bus both times, so we avoided the worst of it) we really had a great time. The Ryman self tour and the Country Music Hall of Fame tours were great, we just ran out of time. Loved the option to bring our ticket back to CMHOF to catch everything that we missed. The Music Row portion was awesome- wish we had even more time to explore it. We would definiltely recommend the tour. Loved that they picked us up at our hotel (Marriott Vanderbuilt) and dropped us off after the tour. $ well spent and a nice way to see and learn about Nashville.
