Distillery Tour

Overview
Join us for a one-hour guided tour of J. Rieger & Co., Kansas City’s iconic distillery, located in the historic Electric Park neighborhood of the East Bottoms district. Discover the history of our brand, from its founding during the wild and raucous years when the city boasted “the wettest block in the world”, to its premature demise at the dawn of Prohibition, and eventual revival in 2014, nearly a century later.

Enjoy extensive access to each phase of the distillation process, from grain to bottle. The tour will conclude with a tasting of our four core products led by one of our knowledgeable guides.

Highly recommend this place.. 3 floors of entertainment and whiskey.. Oh and a giant slide. Their whiskey, gin, vodka and rye are all excellent. They also have a coffee liquor that's excellent.. cocktails are top notch. Long list of appetizers as well.

I took friends from Lexington, KY there for cocktails and appetizers to show off what KC has to offer even to bourbon snobs from the bourbon capital. The venue is great, lively and fun and the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. We loved our cocktails (I am a Manhattan fan) and the appetizers as well. This place is a bit out of the way, but worth the trip or Uber.

Friend and I did a distillery tour. There was a nice history video at the beginning, and the walk through the distillery was nice. The guide was very knowledgable, however, nothing really stood out to separate this distillery from most others. In addition, they purchase a fair amount of grain alcohol, waiting for their own barrels to age. As for the tasting, nothing was great, but I hope they are able to produce something exciting once more barrels have aged longer. Food pairings with the tastings were more exciting than the drinks. Beautiful building and distillery. Would recommend if you are looking for a way to spend up an afternoon.
