Dog Sledding and Mushing Experience in North Pole

Overview

Enjoy a truly Alaskan experience in the famous North Pole Alaska on a 30 minute dog sledding adventure. This ride includes informative commentary from your local guide as you glide through the snow covered forest. You will be seated in the dog sled as the team of Alaskan Huskies whisk you down the trails. Your guide will be standing on the back of the sled driving the team by voice commands. You will have a short stop during your adventure to meet your team of Alaskan Huskies and take pictures. All outer layers of winter clothing are included.

Joanna was our musher and she was fantastic! She provided us so much information and answered all of our questions. The one hour ride was through gorgeous areas. Her dogs were very sweet and great at their jobs. Highlight was being able to stand next to Joanna on the back of the sled and feel/see things from the musher’s prospective. Will definitely book again next time we are in Fairbanks! Rod’s Alaskan Guide Service is top notch!!

Talk about a fun time. Joanna and her dogs were such a joy to get to know. She was super friendly and very knowledgeable about dog sledding. Got to meet each and every dog in her team. Got lots of kisses and photos with the whole pack. Got to learn about her experience in the Iditarod race as well as how she raises and trains her dogs. I felt like I became part of the mushing family while I was there. Can't say enough good things about this experience! Rod's does a great job!

Fantastic, authentic, Alaskan experience! Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed the dog mushing experience with Luther and Jimmy. They were personable, knowledgeable and made certain we had a great experience. Our son wore a snowmobiling helmet as we had a GoPro to record the mushing. We all joked that this was the first time anyone wore a helmet to dog sled, but he had the last laugh as his face was warm! Luther and Jimmy, thanks for a truly wonderful and authentic Alaskan mushing experience. It was wonderful to meet you both and learn about your dog team!
