Dog Sledding and Mushing Experience in North Pole

Overview

Enjoy a truly Alaskan experience in the famous North Pole Alaska on a 30 minute dog sledding adventure. This ride includes informative commentary from your local guide as you glide through the snow covered forest. You will be seated in the dog sled as the team of Alaskan Huskies whisk you down the trails. Your guide will be standing on the back of the sled driving the team by voice commands. You will have a short stop during your adventure to meet your team of Alaskan Huskies and take pictures. All outer layers of winter clothing are included.

Kaycee Powell was our dog mushing tour guide. She was amazing and we really enjoyed getting to know some of her dogs and the sport of dog mushing. She allowed our kids to be involved and they enjoyed the adventure maybe even more than us adults. They couldn’t stop smiling! Thank you so much for an unforgettable Alaskan adventure!

We loved our experience! We traveled with 3 adults and 1 2-year old and it was an unforgettable experience. They go above and beyond with providing warm gear. Loved learning about the different breeds of dogs and types of races. Will totally do it again! Special thanks to our mushers Kaycee and Kristen!

First, they gave us a whole lot of heavy winter gear. All the gear is clean and in excellent condition. I wasn't worried about it at all. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. As for the experience, my sister and I took the 30 minute ride with Dan. Half way through, we stopped to let the dogs rest. We took pictures and petted the dogs. Before we started back, Dan asked if we wanted to take turns standing on the back with him. Of course, we said yes. We each got about 5 minutes and he had us call out commands as well. It was a a bit harrowing standing instead of sitting but a lot of fun too. Once I figured out how to hunker down and figure out where my center of gravity needed to be (which didn't take long), I was fine. I'm grateful he gave us the opportunity to do that. I would definitely recommend this experience and if I get to go back to Fairbanks in the winter, I plan to do it again.
